started out
with a
staring contest
turned into
a wrestling
match
i think it's
obvious who won
(b couldn't be
more pleased
with himself)
oh,
and his hair?
we were
trying to go
for a
"flock of seagulls"
look...

Root Beer-Milk
It was at Muir elementary school in the middle of the year when they first introduced us to Root Beer Milk. Although short lived, those few months offered us a beverage substitute that would forever stay in my memory.
Too bad it really wasn't that good. I could tell that even as a 6th grader.
So I got to thinking, what would be the nastiest flavor of milk?
The best idea I've come up with is watermelon milk.

happy annnnaaversarrarry! (in my best italian accent)
happy anniversary
(last week), davey
thank you for a
fancy schmancy weekend.
i felt like a
snobby rich woman,
checking into a
ritzy hotel
dining at a fine restaurant
sleeping late
ordering room service
watching fireworks from the balcony
walking around in white robes...
but really...
thank you for making
more than all of my
dreams come true.
for...
taking me to
the nauvoo temple
to be married,
for helping me
raise our sweet
little baby b,
for really really
knowing my heart,
for making me feel
like i can do anything,
for all your
sacrafices and hard work.
i love you, davey...
you are my george bailey.
oh, and just so you know,
you make me feel like this...

Courtney Cox doesn't cry well
I had a conversation with my friend Don Heath about how movies that you thought were great as a child, often turn out to be terrible when you watch them as an adult. For Don, it was Milo and Otis. As a kid, he thought it was the best movie ever until he recently watched it again.
That got me thinking about shows that I used to think were totally radical, but disenchanted me after re-watching them.
The first of which was Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles the cartoon series. How can a series be carried almost entirely on one-liners from Michaelangelo?
The second being Masters of the Universe- Starring Courtney Cox, the principle from Back to the Future, and Ivan Drago from Rocky IV.

dare or dare
dave and i were
driving down
beck street one night.
me: truth or dare...
pick dare.
dave:....dare?
me: i dare you
to spend one night
in the "beck street
apartments/motel"
which is conveniently
right next to "southern
exposure" (super classy)
conditions -- you must
sleep on the bed,
use the shower
and the toilet.
he has yet to come
up with a dare that
trumps that one.
