Helvetica

This is Dave by the way.

Two things-

I watched the documentary Helvetica last night.
Admittedly boring, even for a design nerd that likes most documentaries.

But it got me thinking about typefaces.
Do you ever look at dafont.com?
What is your favorite font?
You can probably learn a lot about someone by their favorite font.

Right now, my favorite is Orator STD:

Second thing-
Paul Giamatti is my favorite actor.
Two movies that support this decision are Sideways (edited) and American Splendor.

Done.
I'm glad we talked about this.

thank you for being.

happy valentines day.

pilkture.

looky look what i took.
you'll feel like a kid in an eye candy store....whaaat?
oh yes i did just say that.

oatmeal.

oatmeal is one of the best ways to
start off your day...
unfortunately, i'd choose french toast
any day; over boring oatmeal...it's true.

this may be obvious to all you
sexy babies out there,
but it just recently hit me (thanks mom)
that i can add whatever i want to
my boring old oatmeal
so that it kicks me in the face (that's a good thing) a little more.

all you need is (love):
old fashioned oatmeal (far superior to quick oats but they'll work too:) .
blueberries.
chopped almonds.
and a spot of honey (let's be honest, i'm a girl who knows what i like).

naturally i'm going to need all of you
to tell me what other wonderful things i can put in my oatmeal
so that i don't get bored and fall off the wagon...or is it on the wagon?

eek.

am i alone in feeling
like the worst thing ever
would be to have to watch videos of
myself or listen to myself talk?
seriously, it's torture.

well...i was interviewed for our
company: LIFE FILE VIDEOS
and i was feeling all sorts of awkward.

when dave told me he finished it
i, of course, got an uh-oh feeling.
but, to be honest...i didn't entirely
want to curl up in a ball and die
after watching myself....in fact
it totally made me feel cool.....whaaaaaat? i know. crazy, right?
i guess that means dave
really is that talented with videos.

it's pretty short and sweet
which may be why i'm so okay with it :)

pilkture.

looky look what i took.

if i was from paris...

i'd say ooh la la, la la la la la.
like the song...any body? any body?

crickets.

well, that title came from the fact
that we had leftover FRENCH bread (from kneaders...woot woot)
from the night before and so i made
real french toast for breakfast...in it's true form,
how french toast should be made...
or at least i had the bread part right.

i'd never made it with actual french bread;
so if some of you are eye rolling right now...
check yourself before you wreck yourself
(i'm pretty sure i'm not using that correctly)
it was an exciting moment, just give it to me.

at any rate, it was good. real good.

you'll need:
french bread (i feel like i've established this already...)
eggs
milk
cinnamon (yes i spilled. it tastes better if you make an unnecessary mess, you haven't heard?)
and a splash of vanilla (if you have mexican vanilla, well i shouldn't even have to finish this sentence so i'll just trust you to make good choices)

and then cook them up
real nice like.

buuuuuuuurp.
