Are You Ready For a Throwdown?

Our friends Sara and Josh Teare have recently fallen in love with the recipes of Tyler from the Food Network Channel.
Although I barely know my way around a box of macaroni and cheese, I love the food network channel. If I was on a Desert Island and I could only bring one channel with me, it would definitely be the food network channel. My apologies go to ESPN, Oxygen, and E.

For those who share my food network passion, I pose the following question unto you:
Who would you choose as your personal chef for Thanksgiving dinner?
Tyler, Emeril, Rachel Ray, Bobby Flay, Cat Cora, Michael Simon, the Japanese Dude, Paula, Mario Batalli, or the Barefoot Contessa?
-Notice I left out the cleavage girl and semi-home made Sandra Lee from the contest because I don't think they are legitimate competitors.

I feel the same way. I my favorite to try his recipes is Emeril. Giada (cleavage girl) is to obsessed with showing off her cleavage than her recipies. I used to think I was the only one but I have even heard commentators on TV make fun of her. So you mentioned throw down and that you and several of your friends love the food network, how about this. What if dave put together a video of each of us preparing our favorite recipe and do our own little thow down? Either we could each vido tape ourselves and then give dave the vido or if he has time he could tape us. I think we could put together a pretty entertaining little cooking video.

Keep posting your posts are aways so entertaining

It was a toss up between three. The Barefoot Contessa, Bobby (hottie) Flay and Paula. Alas, I have picked Paula.

She is a down home cooking type of lady who isn't afraid to use butter and sugar. And for Thanksgiving, you just have to go all out.

Plus, she's just a southern bell. After dinner we would sip Mint Julep's on the porch and watch the cows come home.

Thanks for leaving out that Giada chick. Everytime she pronounces something with a over-exaggerated Italian accent, I want to reach through my TV and punch her in the face. I'm going with the Barefoot Contessa all the way!

oh dave...the only reason why you're obsessed with food network is because you fell head over heels for bobby flay when you were in bed for 2 weeks after your jaw surgery...don't try to hide it. and don't be ashamed...no one can resist him.

love, me

I'm gonna have to go with Bobby Flay and even though she is a lush I like Rachel Ray's recipes. I can't stand Mario he drives me crazy. love the Food network and someday when I'm not too cheap to buy cable I will be glued to the TV. now I'm stuck watching Americas test kitchen and everyday food which I think are both pretty good most days.

I love the Food Network!
Brad calls it "tummy porn".
I love bobby,he is a hottie!
I hate Giada, she looks like a bratz doll.
The firls and I always joke about semi homeade gal, she ALWAYS make "cocktails", what a lush! lol
Mario is great though, gotta love a man who always wers shorts and flip flops!
But I love the classic elegance of barefoot.
Can't choose...

WHAT??? I thought that was Sandra Lee just with a different name. So it is NOT her??? WHAT????

You know Tyler would win ... Come on be honest.

Oh the cleavage girl ... she is interesting. I think I even bought her recipe book and was bitterly dissapointed.

Oh forget Rachael Ray 30 min recipe... The title of her book should be more like 2 to 3 hour recipe because you have to buy the most ridiculous stuff book.
Do not like her recipes.

I have to admit i have never tried Bobby style recipes. I am just fasinated how Tyler uses garlic and onions... Mmmm
