words that aren't words but should be...

simply because i used them at one point or another
and stood embarrassed and corrected when someone heard me:

"scrame" (because it sounds more correct to me than screamed)

"eleventeen" (before you judge me...just say it once...
it sounds right to you too, doesn't it?)

"acrossed"
(you didn't know it wasn't a word either? well it isn't...
it's just "across"...simple and true.

so, perhaps my english could use a little help.

I will never forget the "scrame" story. If you come to my really cool Scrabble club, you'll never make another mistake in your vocabulary/spelling/life.

Did I mention we're really cool?

I used this just Wednesday night:

"Did you see how he just catched her?"

And then last night I said:

"Aren't you going to finish your Chee?" This was a mix up of two words. Chai and Tea. Chee.......

How about phrases. Remember when you told us how you 'tinkle' on the old ivories?

Randy makes fun of me for saying "Squose" instead of "squeezed". whatever, it sounds better my way. :)

All except for "scrame", but now I'm taking that one too! It is MUCH more descriptive than screamed.

Ahaha... I totally did not know "acrossed" was not a word! You made me an ittle bit smarter today, thanks mama! I actually love making up my own words, or just using correct ones incorrectly. Example~ ittle= little+ itty... which means EXTRA little. lol
